IFTDA beckons all its present and prospective members

IFTDA (Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association), the Premier Body of Directors and Assistant Directors in the Film & TV Industry welcomes every technician engaged in the field of direction in any of the Production Houses, Channels or in the employ of an independent Producer who has thus far not obtained the obligatory membership of IFTDA due to an oversight or want of information, to do so now.

Under the charter of IFTDA’s membership of FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) the Umbrella Body of all Cine & TV Employees, it is mandatory that every technician whichever craft he/she may belong to must carry his/her membership card at the time of performing his/her professional duties. Any flouting of this regulation can amount to disciplinary action which sometimes results in uncalled for industrial action such as stoppage or suspension of precious production hours (shooting / recording / editing, etc).

The existing members who may be proposing the grant of membership to new members must remember to keep their membership fee updated to maintain the validity of such a proposal.

The Membership Committee of IFTDA sits every month to scrutinize the applications form new technicians desiring membership. The existing members are advised to update the details of their current address, email ID, phone numbers, etc. at the earliest in order to enable IFTDA to serve them efficiently.
